How to Join

To join the Grand Rapids Farmers Market…

Folks can get a application form and other information by visiting the market, or from the website.

The bylaws cover what can be sold.

Mainly… Produce must be grown or harvested within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MN. Crafts must be created by the vendor. No buying and reselling is allowed. You can check the map if you are not sure about being within 50 miles.

It’s also a good idea to read Guidelines for Vendors from the MN department of Ag.

The guidelines cover State label requirements for selling home canned and baked goods.

The membership dues for 2010 are $50 to join the Farmers market (if you join by August 1, $100 if joining after that.) The daily space fee is $5 per space for each day you attend the market.

To become a member… Fill out an application form, and return it to the Market Manager:

If accepted… Fill out a membership form and a Sales and Use Tax certificate of compliance. Also, provide copies of any licenses you are required to have.

The forms and payment (payable to Grand Rapids Farmers Market) can be brought to the Market on or before your first day. (Or you can contact the manager to make arrangements.)

A canopy is recommended, and having it tied down or weighted with 15 to 20 lb. weights on each leg is encouraged.
