Management of the Market

  • Christy Harling will serve as manager until we are able to fill the manager position.
  • Kate Mercado will continue to do Facebook posts.
  • Mike Claypool and Loren Berkoski will help with market layout and logistics of getting vendors in place.
  • We do still want to find a more permanent manager – Christy intends for her role as manager to be temporary. Please spread the word!

SNAP/EBT Training & Vendor Agreement

Vendors who sell food other than Ready-to-Eat (RTE) items are eligible to accept the red $1 EBT tokens from customers. The market is a USDA-authorized SNAP retailer. One of the requirements is that we train vendors every year. The training video and vendor agreement are linked below. Vendors will be asked to sign the vendor agreement before accepting any SNAP tokens.

COVID-19 Federal Relief Programs Available to Farmers’ Market Vendors

Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP)

  • Re-opened; no deadline set at this time
  • Available to farmers
  • Grant based on your 2019 production or number of head of livestock
  • Apply through Farm Service Agency

Paycheck Protection Program

  • Deadline to apply is May 31, 2021
  • Starts out as a loan, but you can apply for loan forgiveness
  • Based on your 2019 or 2020 gross income from Schedule F or Schedule C
  • Apply through a lender; many area banks are participating
